As a board-certified physician who graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Louisiana State University, Dr. Gabriel Agbanyim brings both professional excellence and deeply personal experience to his work at Novara Healthcare.
After years of practicing medicine, it was Dr. Agbanyim’s own son who ultimately led him to MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy). Diagnosed with autism at the age of two, his son made slow gains with conventional therapies. But when MeRT was introduced, everything changed — eye contact, speech, and emotional engagement began to emerge in ways Dr. Agbanyim had only hoped for. Inspired by the transformation he witnessed firsthand, he dove into the science and made it his mission to bring this innovative therapy to families who, like his, are searching for answers.
At Novara Healthcare, Dr. Agbanyim and his team offer MeRT therapy for children and adults navigating a wide range of neurological and developmental conditions — including autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, traumatic brain injury, and more. Once you have done your quantitative EEG and provided information about any conditions and symptoms you have been experiencing as well as history, past treatments, and other vital information, this is all sent to the Doctors and Scientists at Wave Neuro, the parent company behind MeRT technology.
It is there that an extensive review and complete analysis of each patient’s diagnostics and information is done.
A patented approach with your neurophysiological data is used to develop a completely customized treatment plan with the goal of improving brain connectivity, communication, and function.
All MeRT treatment parameters are approved by a licensed neurosurgeon or physician and followed exactly at our clinic for each patient.

If, at any point, you are interested in looking into treatment further, she can also schedule you for the next steps, a qEEG (non-invasive brain scan) followed by a consultation several days later.
Once the qEEG is done, the doctors and scientists at Wave Neuro will carefully study and analyze your testing and symptoms. Our clinician will then discuss the results with you and show you what is happening neurologically.
At this point, we can determine if you may benefit from MeRT treatment, and you can decide if you would like to move forward.
