“The Doctors” TV Show Featured MeRT as a Treatment for Autism

Here’s the Episode you can watch on MeRT for Autism

MeRT as a treatment for Autism was discussed at length, covering how it works to reprogram electrical signals in the brain. In addition to this video, you can read more about MeRT treatment for autism here. This treatment can provide new hope for your child.

Miriam, the mother of a child with Autism spoke on the show, and here are some excerpts of what she said…

When speaking about MeRT treatment for autism on The Doctors TV show, Miriam Gimal discussed what her daughter, diagnosed with severe autism, went though. with severe autism at a year and a half and what her family went through. Here’s a bit of what she said:

Our family was in so much pain. And like many moms, I have a long list of everything I tried, and she wasn’t budging. She was formally diagnosed at a year and a half with severe autism. I was told she would have to be put in a hospital eventually.

I went to see our doctor, and he said, ‘Listen, Miriam, we’ve been working together for three years. You’ve done everything I’ve asked you to do. I can’t lie to you: your kid isn’t getting better. Why don’t you try this thing called MeRT at the Brain Treatment Center?’

He explained what it was, and I was on a plane almost before the end of the conversation. When I got to the center, they told me they were going to do an EEG to get a glimpse of how her brain was functioning. And I have to say, that day alone changed my life.

You go to so many doctors with your autistic child, and you don’t have many answers. But they were able to tell me about her attacks, her anxiety, why she wasn’t speaking… I got answers for the first time about her brain. It felt so good to have that validation to know that, okay, I’m not crazy. This is not normal.

What happened after MeRT changed our lives.”

– Miriam

Talk to Our New Patient Coordinator for More Information

Our New Patient Coordinator is here Monday to Friday and can help you with any questions you may have. There is no obligation to call and talk to her. She is happy to explain more about MeRT, our protocols for treatment, fees, insurance questions, and more.

If, at any point, you are interested in looking into treatment further, she can also schedule your child for the next steps, a qEEG (non-invasive brain scan) followed by a consultation several days later.

Once the qEEG is done, the doctors and scientists at Wave Neuro will carefully study and analyze your child’s testing and symptoms. Our clinician will then discuss the results with you and show you what is happening neurologically.

At this point, we can determine if your child may benefit from MeRT treatment, and you can decide if you would like to move forward.

Things Can Get Better

We hope you will consider getting more information, so that you can make an informed decision if MeRT may benefit you or your loved one. With years of successful treatments for a wide range of neurological conditions, we have witnessed improved quality of life for so many!
